Who We Are

The Learning Assistance Teachers’ Association (LATA) is a Provincial Specialist Association of the BCTF. LATA makes significant contributions to the public education system through curriculum initiatives, in-service education, professional development, ministry committees, publications, presentations and conferences. Our primary focus is on supporting educators working with struggling learners.

For more than a quarter century, Learning Assistance Teachers have maintained a strong provincial association that supports learning assistance and learning resource teachers across BC.
